Dear family and friends,
Christmastime is the time that we look back on the year and realize how blessed we are.
Here are our Top 10 Blessings in 2009:

1. New heart valves
This November, my Dad had major surgery to replace two heart valves. We are so grateful for the pigs that supplied the valves and for the excellent medical care that my Dad received during and after the surgery. And we are especially grateful that we will now have many more happy years together as a family.

2. Visits with my siblings
It’s not often that all four Huntley kids are in one place. This February we spent a weekend together at Jenny’s house and went out for an amazing dinner at The Revolution in downtown Durham. Jenny and Mary also made trips to Florida. It ’s always great to have them here.

3. Vacation
In May we spent six wonderful days with my parents at Sandals in the Bahamas. What a beautiful resort! We did some snorkeling and scuba diving, watched the sunsets, and enjoyed the pools and swim-up bar. One of our most memorable days was our day at Dolphin Encounters where we got to pet and hug a dolphin.

4. Laughter with friends
We are thankful for our friends, who bring so much fun and laughter to our lives.

5. A new ride
In June I bought a new car, a Toyota Prius. It is so cute and fun to drive. And I really love getting 50mpg!

6.,7.,8. Checking three more lighthouses off my list
This summer Ron and I traveled to north Florida to visit the Amelia Island, St Johns and St Johns River lighthouses. We now only have seven Florida lighthouses left to visit. Next year we hope to make it to the Keys to see some of the reef lights.

9. Staying employed
The economy continues to struggle but our company has tried very hard to avoid the kinds of layoffs that so many other companies are facing. We’re grateful for productive work and pray for those who are searching for jobs.

10. Looking forward to having the whole family together for Christmas!
